Reporting 1099-K Income Under $600

Do I report all 1099-K income even under $600?

Yes, you must report all income from payments received, regardless of whether you receive a Form 1099-K or whether the amounts are under $600 or any other reporting threshold. [1]

The Form 1099-K reporting threshold doesn't affect whether payments are taxable or whether a tax return must be filed. All income, no matter the amount, is taxable unless the tax law specifically says it isn't - even if you don't receive a Form 1099-K. [2]

For 2025, third party settlement organizations (TPSOs) like payment apps and online marketplaces are only required to issue Form 1099-K when gross payments exceed $20,000 and there are more than 200 transactions. [1] However, this is simply a reporting requirement for the payment processor - it doesn't change your obligation to report the income on your tax return.

You should use your own records along with any Forms 1099-K you receive to determine your correct taxable income. [1]
